TOXIN

A poisonous substance produced by micro organism cells, particularly bacteria and fungi.


TRAP (U BEND)

A plumbing/drainage device to maintain a water seal against sewer gases, air, and odours.


TRIAGE ? EMERGENCY- STABILISATION

Works that are undertaken, often without formal contract, to mitigate (stop the damage process) .


TRIM

Visible mouldings such as baseboards, cornices, casings, installed to cover or protect joints, edges, or ends of other materials; metal fittings designed for the same purpose; to shave or fit precisely.


TRUSS

An engineered framing device in which smaller and lighter lumber is assembled to support loads normally requiring heavier and more costly solid lumber, often performing the combined function of rafter and ceiling joist.


TUBERCULOCIDE

A disinfectant that controls or kills the bacterium that causes tuberculosis, when used according to label directions.


ULTRASONIC CLEANING

Removal of residues by an immersion process in which electronically induced cavitations greatly enhances the effectiveness of the solvent or detergent.


ULTRAVIOLET

(UV) light – Light at the violet end of the light spectrum that is normally not visible to the human eye. UV light waves are shorter than visible light waves and longer than X-rays.


ULV fogger

An Ultra Low Volume atomizer of water-based deodorants that produces a mist in an 8-15 micron MMD. The ULV is used for fogging moisture sensitive fabrics or surfaces. cp _wet fogger and thermal fogger_

A material such as rubber, foam or felt that is paid over a hard floor prior to Carpeting being laid
