Education

Education is an essential element of a damage management practitioner's ability to deliver industry best practice, which will include ensuring a positive customer experience and a cost effective solution for insurers and property owners.

To achieve these objectives the professional practitioner will need to be aware of and understand the latest scientific and technical developments, as well as maintaining their knowledge base  and adding to their skill set through continuous education and professional development.

The BDMA faciiitates ongoing education for its members through a variety of options which include:

  • Licensed Training Centres (LTCs) - delivering BDMA approved Core Damage Management Courses
  • Masterclasses - covering a wide range of topics for both experienced and entry level practitioners, many of which are also of value to the wider industry
  • CPD (Continuous Professional Development) Scheme - an ongoing requirement for BDMA practitioner members to ensure ongoing education

The BDMA is also involved with the University of Wolverhampton in developing a Foundation Degree in Property Damage Management, which is supported by a number of sectors across the wider industry.

In addition to the official BDMA Training Courses many of our Licensed Training Centres offer other courses that will be relevant to a practitioner's ongoing knowledge and education.
